| I've been using realitylapse for a while, but it's kind of slow. I want to know where I can find a website that has a lot of anime where I can download in acceptable quality if not HQ. I know it's a lot to ask, but does anyone know of a good website.
P.S The anime has to be in a format where it can be burned to a DVD so I can watch it on my TV.

| I use Anime Take for all my new anime episodes and Bakabt for all my older stuff (it's torrents though on Bakabt). | |

| Tried animetake, didn't really like it. Plus, I don't really go for torrents due to the risk of viruses. | |

Most regular torrents don't have viruses. It's Limewire that you have to worry about. As long as the torrent is just simple video file it's really unlikely that it's a virus. I download at least one new anime episode from Anime Take a day and I have never got a virus.

| I don't know of any that aren't torrents or mIRC. Seeing as how they are trying to get rid of anime downloading sites. Direct downloads are starting to become extinct. If you want to continue downloading anime then you are probably going to have to go torrent or mIRC. Most sites used megaupload but that is gone now. You can also try http://www.animea.net/ but can't tell you how fast it is, what the quality is either. It doesn't really tell you if they are subs or dubs, you just have to download and see. | |

| I have to agree with GuardianChaos. Regular download sites are hard to find these days for anime, so you're better off switching to torrents. | |

| I guess torrents could work, but I have this personal preference not to use them. Oh well, guess you have to do what you have to do. | |

| actually i know a program where you can download any video on any web sites. its basically a plug in you need to install that only works on mozilla firefox but its WORTH IT!!! its called downloadhelper you just have to google it on mozilla firefox and if you click the first link it should say that downloadhelper is a plug in and special tool to extract and download any videos you watch on website. After you install this program on mozilla firefox,you go to any site that you watch your anime.and after you get there you just click the video then let it load for a sec and on down right corner and small popup should come up that will let you download that video and it should save in to downloadhelper file unless you want to choose your own file were you want to send the videos.but it downloads videos pretty fast. | |

| Thanks, but the problem is the quality.
If I use that, would it give HD quality like if I downloaded it from a website or would it give the shitty streaming quality that comes when you watch it online?

I think that would be the problem with it. Guess you could give it a try, though really think its better to go with torrents. Use Nyaa.eu, I have never once gotten a virus and I get at least 12 new anime a week.

| 12 a week? Woah.
Another site you can use is BakaBT, they have quality control standards and everything is always seeded, although they don't carry everything due to legal BS (in which case, fall back to Nyaa, lol).

I know right. Its a lot. My external hard drive is almost full. I have 1280 GB of anime. And more just keep coming. Told my husband, that what I want for my birthday is a 4 TB external hard drive. He asked what I would do with the 2TB one I already have....I told him. I'm gonna keep it. Just start anew with the new one.

| But remember, you need twice the space, for backups.
I'm going to need to upgrade my drives (one internal, one external), 1.5 TB each. And I'm running out ;;

| If you have DVD's you can put all your anime on those so you can just watch them on TV and not worry about having them take up space on your computer. That's what I usually do. | |

| Since I make AMVs, I have to keep mine on my computer. I just have to upgrade my hard drives. Yeah it takes a lot of money but its what I love to do, and you can't put a price on that. | |
