If you could change the ending

If you could change the ending of death note what would it be ?
I think the ending in which light dies is very sad.I thought the ending will be like the Death note burns and there is no Death note left in the world. Light doesn;t die.Then later a new season starts in which Light's son or someone related to him finds the death note.

Light's death is kind of a necessary part of the story in my opinion, since hats were the the stories main moral pay-off is. Might be fair enough if Light was still an 'anti-hero' character like he was in the beginning, but by that stage of the story he was most definitely a villain, so to let him off lightly like that is a little on the anti-climax and anti moral side.

For me, a change in the ending would involve the series being rewritten from the point were L dies onward. Change the ending to something involving some final ploy that L, having foreseen his own death as a necessary occurrence in bringing down Kira, had laid. That would be an awesome twist, as well as maintaining the way in which there are no true 'good' or 'bad' guys in the show.

Any ending that would have allowed L to live. That's all I care about.

honestly think thatthis ending was a master piece, even though i loved light however i would not have killled of L for neir it seems like light won when he killed L but they they just had reinforcement waitying, in my mind light beat L whom is smarter than neir so al in all i would change the ending where neir wins to L some how dying with light like mabey light writes Ls name in blood in the death note as hes been shot by on of the detectives or something like that but still beatiful manga. welll thats a long run on scentence but whatever lol

This basically sums up my entire feelings on how I would change the ending.

I'm glad L died bc he was after Light, I wish Light would've survived. Light was becoming pretty evil but I love Light. I think Near shoulda been killed too.

I really liked Light but it felt right the way he died.
But Near really pissed me off at times. I wish he would've died.
I realy liked L and wanted him to survive.

I liked L too, he was cool but he was a threat to Light. The ending was good but not want i wanted.

Eto... So you all havn;t watched the movie ? I think it shows how L fooled Light thinking that L was dead . L is showed in movies. ( TT_TT no smiley with goggles ) . He dies after 29 or 30 days after lights death !!!!!

But for the most part, I think Death Note ended fantastically. Min characters don't usually die in Shonen series plus the way Ryuk was the one that killed him made it even better.

I still wish Near died, though.

I would have enjoyed an ending where L won. I never liked L (I'm a Light fan), but I like L a hell of a lot more than Near. L did all the work, so if anybody was going to defeat Light it deserved to be him. Even though I was really upset when Light died much later when I got over his death I realized it was the best ending they could have done. Light had to die even though he'll always be my favorite character.

and L didn't die and he was the one who caught kira ( light) i mean won
i hate how near figured everything out without any clues i mean L had clues and figured stuff step by step, but near just jumped right in and figured everything without any clues, is he psychic or something?

but still death note is one of my favorites all time
