Do you download Anime and How much ?

For me I download about 5 Gb per month ..

My Anime drive -


The mangas ones ..I am looking to download the Denpa Kyoshi manga but i have to download one by one XD

I don't download anime, simple because (1) I can't afford to buy a USB/External; (2) our internet is slower than a turtle most of the time and; (3) My brother's classmate downloads anime in his external drive and lends it to us for a week.

That's how much a have. I don't know how much I get a month or week.

Oh my god at your file sizes TT_TT . I also want a Hardisk of 1 TB >.< !!

I have a total of 2700 Gigs. My total hard drives are

250 GB - Full
500 GB - Full
2 tb - 384 GB free
Those are my externals

My internal hard drive is
700 GB - 607 GB free

I don't use my internal like I use my externals.

I don't download any Anime. I prefer watching it online; I like to finish my Anime quickly and move on to the next one. Thta's wh I prefer to watch Anime with lots of episodes as well. XD

i download mostly from nyaa.eu and fansubs site like Horrible-subs and doki

I absolutely adore downloading anime because of the freedom you get with it!

My reasons:

Any audio/subtitle settings, good by me since I prefer japanese audio usually (depending on who made the video, but still, is usually included more often than not!)

Portability

QUALITY (oh how I resent watching anime with poor video/audio quality)

TIME (no searching for episode parts/sections, no buffering needed, and downloading a series only takes a night or more with a good connection)
[it's also easy to find anime in a matter minutes, even the hard to find ones with some help from DomDomSoft's Anime Downloader ]

VALUE (jeezus christ, I can just imagine how much money I would have spent if I bought all the anime I've downloaded . . . . )

As to how much I've downloaded? not much thus far (around 100 GB), since I've only been truly watching anime on a daily basis for the past year. Additionally, I prefer to download an anime only after I've finished doing a good amount of research and searching for quality anime, so I spend more time researching than watching anime =)

you're epically hardcore with your magnitude of downloads; what methods do you use to download anime, if you could be kind enough to tell?

Same here.. i prefer download rather than streaming.

My reasons:

i prefer jap audio and eng subs.. in consequences, i learn how to speak japanese as well

QUALITY: mostly i'll get 1280x720 which fits the best to old LCD TV and my laptop as well

TIME: i plan early what coming episodes i'm gonna watch.. so i just have to download every week.. since i use torrent and high speed internet, 200~300Mb for 1 episodes only take 5~10 minutes to finish.. it sound like lying but it's true..

VALUE: well i have the urge to buy anime models, cat gloves, plushie, but.. i'm an adult.. it will be weird.. but some how i still own 1 ~ 2 anime models.. i'm going to buy more after my job is stable..

so far downloading from fansub sites like dokisubs, hadenasubs, horriblesubs, mazuisubs, UTW.me, and torrent site like kat.ph and nyaa.eu have give me the best quality..ongoing anime will easily found here.. instead on yahoo answer mostly i see people just watch OHSHC instead of just watch new anime like sao etc.

I usually download one arc per month which equates to about 5gb. I then burn it to a DVD and delete it from my computer.
I just recently downloaded Fullbring arc from Bleach.

instead you can keep inside external HDD and you can play it at your big screen TV.. nowadays all TV have USB port, Card reader, VGA, HDMI, Digital Video port..unless you're still using cathode tube TV

For me, DVDs are cheaper and more portable.

well i guess diff people have diff aspect of portability... both have pros and cons

I still prefer DVD.

I prefer whatever I can get my hands on.

It does. Also, I hate bluray. I like HD DVD. Too bad they stopped making them.

i know why.. because bluray need specific bluray player or PS3 and specific Optical Drive to burn them..

Pretty much. Also HD DVD used to be cheaper overall.
