Summary:
Today we got an information based chapter.
After his analyzation from the previous chapter Kakashi reveals that the jutsu Tobi uses is a space-time Ninjutsu. The reason that the two techniques Tobi uses is one jutsu is because Tobi teleports parts of his body away to make it seem as if he intangible.
But, Kakashi also says that the reason Tobi got injured was because his own Kamui and Tobi's jutsu are connected to the same dimension. That way, when Kakshi's kunai and Tobi's face were teleported away at the same time, they collided in the other dimension. A similar thing happened with the Rasengan.
After the explanation, Kakashi demands to know how Tobi knew this technique. Tobi says that he got this Sharingan during the last World War at the Battle of Kannabi Bridge, the same battle where Obito died and Kakashi received the Sharingan.
But then Tobi snaps at Kakashi and says that he is all words and no action. He says no dreams come true in this world, that is the reason he is performing Infinite Tsukuyomi.
Gai expresses his concern for Kakashi, but Naruto steps in and tells Tobi to stop running his mouth. Naruto says that he has a dream he was entrusted with(Jiraiya's dream of peace and the dream of becoming Hokage) and he won't ever give up on them. Tobi retorts by asking Naruto what Jiraiya, Minato and Naruto himself would think if he were to ever fail that mission. Tobi says that the's giving himself a false sense of security by using the word 'Hope', but in reality, there is nothing there, just a hollow existence.
Kurama finally gets pissed and asks Naruto if he can take over. Once Kurama's consciousness takes precedence, he tells Tobi that Naruto doesn't match what he's saying. Naruto had been able to make friends with Kurama, and Minato had sealed Kurama in Naruto so he coul have the power to defeat Tobi. Kurama gives one last nudge to Naruto saying he won't fail.
My Thoughts:
This chapter was pretty good for me, but it wasn't all that exciting. What really piqued my interest, however, was the fact that Tobi got his Sharingan from the Battle of Kannabi Bridge. There has to be some relation to Obito there.
I also liked how condescending Tobi was towards Naruto and the way Kurama got pissed off. But that was where one point of improvement came in. Kurama didn't really do anything. He just said a few cheesy lines then lent his power to Naruto. That was a really suckish way for one of the most awesome Bijuu to end the chapter.
The chapter was also really confusing. I hope it's a lot easier to understand in the anime, because I had to read this chapter like 5 imes to understand it, and even then I could've missed stuff.
Even with all its glaring faults, the plot of this chapter is one of the best from these past few weeks. I think Tobi's identity will be revealed soon. I give this chapter a 4/6, Good, rating. Ciaossu.
